Emergency Maneuver Instruction

Would you do the right thing in an emergency? You will react the way you trained.
The Emergency Maneuvers Course reviews best pilot practices to safely extricate a small airplane from an emergency situation. Studies show that almost all aviation loss of control accidents involve a turn; and so, you will begin this course with the basic turn, review several advanced flying skills and conclude the course with flying emergencies and best practices for the resolution of those emergencies. Topics include:
1. The Proper Turn
2. Use of top rudder and spin recovery
3. Stall recovery, spin recognition and zero g unusual attitudes
4. The fabulous Chandelle, Wing Over and Forward Slip
5. Steep turns and turn-a-rounds
After completing the basic five lesson Emergency Maneuvers Course, customers have the option to enjoy add on advanced training.
• Casual aerobatics (3 lessons)
• Tail wheel endorsement (3 lessons)
• Advanced spin training (3 lessons)

The Basic Course includes five hours of ground instruction and approximately four hours of flight time in a Super Decathlon. In addition to specific flying skills, ground session discussions will include a review of best practices for risk management.

Customers are encouraged to complete the course in three days flying two flights each day. Emergency Maneuver Instruction at Dylan Aviation Flight School is a best buy in the Advanced Flight Training arena.
• Your instructor, Jim Alsip, is a Master Certified Flight Instructor with an Aerobatic Endorsement.
• Flights are non-aerobatic. You will not experience high g loading and disorienting maneuvers.
