Dylan Aviation Flight School offers Tail Wheel Instruction for all pilots, regardless of what they fly. Tail Wheel Training is about flying the way it was once taught - flying for fun, flying with style and flying the airplane. Jim Alsip, MCFI-A (Master Certified Flight Instructor with Aerobatic endorsement), will be your instructor. Jim has developed a Tail Wheel Training syllabus that demonstrates and explains how tail wheel skills apply to all flying. You will be encouraged to establish criteria for self evaluation and self improvement. Much of the ground instruction is presented on power point with photos from the cockpit that help you understand the subjects beging taught. Specific Tail Dragger subjects include: ground handling, torque on take offs, three point and wheel landings, handling cross winds, the bounce and forward slips.
Call or email today to reserve dates for your Tail Wheel Training. Many pilots, flying two flights per day, complete their Tail Wheel Training in three days. The Dylan Aviation Flight School Tail Wheel Transition syllabus includes five hours of flight time, will lead to pilot proficiency in accordance with FAR 61.31 (i) and earns the Tail Wheel Endorsement in your log book.This dual instruction Tail Wheel Training is applicable to pilots holding a light sport, recreational, private, commercial or ATP pilot certificate
